The Milwaukee Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression is a Black and brown-led grassroots organization organizing to end police crimes, advance community control of policing, and build collective power through education, advocacy, and mobilization.

For over 50 years, our movement has fought alongside families, organizers, and communities demanding accountability, dignity, and justice. Re-founded in Milwaukee in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 crisis and the George Floyd Rebellion, MAARPR continues the legacy of grassroots resistance rooted in action, political education, and community power.

We believe the people most impacted by policing deserve a direct role in shaping public safety, accountability, and justice systems.

We believe communities deserve real power over policing, not just advisory roles. CPAC is a model for community control that gives residents direct control over policy, hiring, firing, and budget decisions for police.
